10 Real Benefits of Robotics for Kids (From an Ottawa Coach)

Ask any parent in Stittsville or Kanata who has watched their child spend three hours debugging a LEGO robot: robotics does something to a child that a math workbook cannot. Below are the ten benefits we have seen show up most consistently over a decade of coaching in Ottawa.

1. Real problem-solving, not memorised answers

A robot is an honest teacher. Your program either works or it does not, and no amount of guessing changes that. Over a term, kids move from "will this work?" to "what should I try first?" — the single most important cognitive shift in any STEM learner.
